Ø    Town Marshal Tom Lock-                 link  (albionpd@verizon.net)

      Tom started with the Albion Police Department in 1980, then moved to the Ligonier Police Department to a long and dedicated career.  While at Ligonier Tom moved up through the ranks, which included being appointed as the Chief of Police of Ligonier.  After his retirement from Ligonier, Tom rejoined the Albion Police Department as the Town Marshal in the summer of 2005.  Tom brings 27 years of combined Law Enforcement experience to the Albion Police Department.

 

Ø    Detective Scott Cole –                     link   (albioninvestigator@verizon.net)

      Scott joined the Albion Police Department in 1984 as a member of the Albion Marshal’s Posse’ then moved into a part-time position and earned a full time slot in 1989.  In 1997 Scott was promoted to the Department’s Investigator/ Chief Deputy and currently serves as the Albion PD’s Detective.  Scott is an Indiana Certified Law Enforcement Instructor, S.T.O.P.S. Instructor and a Field Training Officer.             

 

Ø    Deputy Marshal Craig Bear –                  link  (cbear_albionpd@verizon.net)

      Craig joined the Albion Police Reserves in 1999 and was promoted to full time in 2000.  Craig currently is an Indiana Certified Law Enforcement Instructor, Firearms Instructor and a Field Training Officer.  Craig offers 8 years of Law Enforcement experience to the Albion PD.

 

Ø    Deputy Marshal David (DJ) Thieme –                  link (dthieme_albionpd@verizon.net)

      DJ joined the Albion Police Department in 2003.  DJ currently is an Indiana Certified Law Enforcement Instructor, Firearms Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and O.C. Spray Instructor. DJ offers 7 years of Law Enforcement experience to the Albion PD.

 

Ø    Deputy Marshal Trince Hursey

Trince joined the Albion Police Reserve Unit in 2002.  Trince then went to part time and eventually moved to full time in 2005.  Trince brings 5 years of Law Enforcement experience to the Albion PD.

 

Ø       Deputy Marshal Chad Jacob

Chad joined the Albion Police Department in 2007.  Chad recently graduated from the 171st Indiana Law Enforcement 16-week Basic Training Session on January 25th, 2008, in Plainfield IN.

The Albion Police Department has both Part time and Reserve Deputy Marshals who contribute to the Albion PD when they are called upon to do so.

 

The Albion Police Reserve Members also perform security for many area functions including sporting events for the Central Noble Schools, Chain-O-Lakes Festival, Annual REMC Picnic, Stone’s Trace Festival, Wolf Lake Onion Days and the Albion Harvest Festival just to name a few.

The Albion Police Department also employs three School Crossing Guards which are posted on the East Main Street and North Orange Street crossings.  The current guards are Jerry Frymier, Dave Davis and Steve Likes

Beth Spencer is currently the Albion Police Department’s Secretary.
